Photo: I snapped this from the hip in a chocolate shop in the Latin Quarter, Paris. The kids were eying off the hundreds of varieties of chocolate. They didn't know I was taking the photo.
Day 23: Paris
Today has been our most leisurely
day so far. We slept in for a while, had a fashionably late breakfast and
headed off on the open top bus, in the rain, to the Latin Quarter. Small alleys
of restaurants, patisseries, gift shops and hotels. We stopped at an Irish Pub
for a coffee and hot chocolate and to use their free wifi. After updating blogs
and checking emails we did a bit of souvenir shopping around Notre Dame and
headed back to the hotel – in the rain. Did I mention the rain?
After dinner the rain had cleared
and we walked up to Moulin Rouge, then continued on up the hill to Mont Martre
church and artists village. Great place, especially for people watching.
Next stop: Switzerland.
