Another wet, grey day. Kayaking. No. Geocaching. No. Beach. Definitely no. Time for some gingerbread cooking using the 101 cutters Lauren recieved for Christmas. Turns out heads and long legs fall off too easily, so the more solid shapes worked best. So we did a batch of hearts. Just in time for Valentines Day tomorrow.
I didn't like the original photo much, so I had a bit of a play in photoshop. Interesting effect, even if not implemented that well. Learnt a lot about masks in my attempt to create this one.
I'd tried High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography before, but only using Photoshop. Not good. Today I downloaded a trial version of Photomatix Light and took some photos overlooking the Shoalhaven River near Ben's Walk on the way home from work. This shot was my first attempt at HDR. I didn't have a tripod with me, so was amazed at the results.
Today was the school Swimming Carnival. Always a good day to meet and chat with new staff and enjoy catching up with people who you often don't see much in the day to day hussle and bustle.
