Cow

I love it when the cows are up in the near paddock. As they got used to me being nearby they approached to check me out. I was lying on the ground, almost under the fence (which turned out to be turned on - ouch!)

This curious young lady got up close to check out what I was up to. So I shot her!

Finally...

It may seem that I've become obsessed with the weather, but after a week of too hot and too humid - interupted with the odd storm that serves no purpose except to make it even more humid - I was very happy to see the temperature plummet as we headed home from the central coast. Not a great photo, but exciting in its own way.

50 Years On.

Big day! 40 people, 40 degrees, 50 years. Great day, even with the heat.

50 Years

Today is my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. 50 years on and going strong. Amazing. Even more amazing is that they still love each other, and even like each other.

Still wet

Early days yet, but it seems cyclone Yasi wasn't as destructive as predicted. Nothing to do with the cyclone, but this photo was taken on my way to work.

Interesting aside: I've just discovered that photos uploaded via pixelpipe from my phone don't appear when the blog is viewed through the DET proxy. Pixelpipe is blocked.

Wet

Just as I was looking for a shot on the general theme of 'hot' (its been way too hot around here for the last few days) a storm came through, cooling everything considerably. So my 'hot' became 'wet'. Our storm lasted only minutes, unlike the battering being dished out in north Queensland tonight.

Back to the Reality of the Routine

With everyone back at school and work, the reality of the routine begins. This is when the photo-a-day will start to get difficult. Just remembering to do it.
