Cold. Wet. Winter. Haven't seen the escarpment for a few days now. All roads in and out of the village are either blocked or nearly blocked. Bring on some sunshine.

Planning
12 weeks till 'The Big Trip'. Planning is well and truly underway.
Apparently The Hunters originate from Hunterston, near Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland.
"the Hunters can boast a noble pedigree that includes brave warriors who fought for Scotland's freedom during the bloody Wars of Independence...."
No. I'm not making it up! It's in the book so it must be true!

From the Backyard - Part 2
Not a new photo (in fact these photos are nearly 6 years old), but a new web app I've recently discovered. Microsoft's ICE (panorama stitching) and Photosynth (ummm - not sure how to describe this one) make in interesting combo.

Rusty Outfall
Hmmm. Next time in Milton or Ulladulla I'll be thinking twice about drinking the water. This outfall was in the wall of Porter's Creek Dam - the dam supplying the southern Shoalhaven's water.
Actually, I think we have some of the best water quality in the world. I guess this water doesn't make it to the taps.

Making the most of Autumn
These wonderful colours won't last too much longer, so I'm making the most of them while they last.
This is the 'fruit' of a liquid amber tree. I think.
